Hi Celeste!

I too love my machine! It is so nice to be able to quickly throw a piece of paper in and cut without the hassle of dealing with a sticky mat! I have had success cutting without the cardstock stabilizer but I have found that I cut more often with it because I love not having the tabs! I also love that I can cut so many different types of materials!

I read the MB first....so when I finally set my ecraft up....and tried a cut. I knew to use a stabilizer. So thanks everyone for that tip.....

Whicht stabilizer I have to buy?
Can you show me a link or image?

You can use a spare sheet of cardstock, a thin flexible veggie mat from the Dollar Tree or the white paper that comes in scrapbook page protectors... You won't get the blue light but it will give the paper a little more support for your intricate or small cuts.

I just unboxed mine and tried the out of the box project and it worked perfectly. I had one problem of the paper bunching up, but probably because I didn't load it correctly. All the other pages cut fine.

Question, does the paper stablizer add too much thickness to go under the rollers?

Has anyone had any problems with this?

Thanks.

Mary

The only time I found that something was too thick was when I tried to put chipboard AND a piece of card stock thru the machine at one time. lol My chipboard isn't the thinnest...

If your paper bunched up, check to see if the paper tray is straight and you have the clear plastic piece sitting in it. That plastic piece helps make a smooth transition between tray and machine.

Also check to see if your paper is loading at an angle. It could be that its running into something if its not going in straight.

Hope this helps :)

I finally really got to use mine yesterday and it cut a really intricate design. There was a little problem at the end but I think it is user error in resizing the pattern and if not its the pattern itself. It was a box with a intricate overlay from lettering delights. A really beautiful box. I've never really done anything like this and resizing is kind of new to me. I am going to try it in the Gazelle to see if its me. But all in all I think this is a great machine. I've tried a few other things to cut and it cut everything fine. I even tried the pen feature and it worked fine for me also.Guess I will be keeping it...I was holding my breath after reading bad reviews then went to PurplePaperParadise and watched videos before trying it. That helped with alot of questions.
