Hi all, as a new ecraft owner I'm particularly interested in tips for cutting fabrics from those of you who have been there and done that already. I'm primarily wanting to cut light weight cotton for appliqué shapes to add to my quilts.
I have already bonded fusible web (plus paper backing) to one side of my fabric. Is it best to use freezer paper on the other or a card stabilizer ? What pressure settings should I aim for ?
Sorry for the basic questions!

So sorry for the late response - I was having trouble signing in the day you posted lol Basic questions rock, they're the foundation we all spring off of :)
I use Heat n Bond on one side and freezer paper on the other... but it could be that I just like sandwiches LOL Pressure setting really depends on your material and the thickness that your backing adds to it. Try a basic shape on a low setting and adjust up the pressure as its cutting. The bond really makes it possible to cut small shapes - I was cutting fonts out with its with letters that were less than 1/2" tall :)
Hope this helps
Jdillon,
Here is a video from one of our Design Team members:http://youtu.be/epiGDFe4Vsw there are several ways to cut, and the pressure, as Jen said, depends on the thickenss. For cotton fabric, it can be 6-8 with blade cap cover, and be sure to remove TABS when cutting fabric.
